yum! i just had a bottle of your dopplesticke and loved it! i took a few opening sips, then continued drinking it with some asiago (which worked really well!), some parmesan (which worked okay) and finally with spicy chili.

i thought the malt flavor was particularly delightful.

I just got back from Wisco yesterday actually, where I drank some spotted cow. So there!

Also, upon closer review of their website I think you’re right. Yokel looks pretty dead and that makes me sad. If I think about it, I’ll grab some cranbic next time I’m in town…..I’ll see if I can get some down your way.

You aren’t even around Wisco anymore so don’t try that. I’ve heard good things about that Cran-bic. Re: Yokel, I doubt it. It used to be on their regular list but I don’t think they’ve brewed it for two years. Also, they’ve stopped making the bumper stickers.

I just tried their new Cranberry Lambic, and I liked it better than the Cantillon I brought back from Belgium. It is the most balanced Lambic I have ever had. And no, we won’t share our beer. Get your own. Also, try some Snowshoe if you get a chance. It is very simple and yet extremely tasty. I don’t think Yokel is completely out of production- they often rotate things in and out so I wouldn’t be surprised to see that back after a bit.
